The Interschool Psych-Fest was organised in the school on 24 August 2024 by the Guidance and Counselling Cell,under the mentorship of Dr.Ritu Kaushik and Ms.Misha Rawal Kapoor. Different schools of the city participated in events like Collage making, Extempore,Model making, and Nukkad Natak. Distinguished guests from the field of Psychology -Dr Tarun Pal, MBBS from LLRM Medical college, Meerut, lecturer, Department of Psychiatry,King George medical College University, Lucknow, Dr Deepti Shukla, retired, HOD, Manu Darshan Department, RG Post Graduate College, Meerut and Dr Sanjay Kumar, currently serving as a Professor and Head of the Department of Psychology at CCS University, Meerut graced the occasion.
The fest began with a welcome dance followed by floral welcome of the esteemed guests. The teams representing different schools showcased their talent and innovative ideas in events like collage making and model making. The participants also impressed the judges and the audience with their eloquent speech in the Extempore. The icing on the cake was the Nukkad Natak, which was very captivating and an eye-opener for all. The performance of all the participants was commendable and was highly appreciated by all .The topics touched the heart and soul of the audience and changed the aura. It compelled everyone to ponder over the problem of anxiety and depression among the youth, which is less talked about.
In Collage making ,Delhi Public school stood first followed by Army Public school at the second position and Dayawati Modi Academy at the third position. In Extempore, Dewan Public school stood first, Delhi Public school stood second and Meerut Public school for girls stood third. In Model making, BDS International School bagged the first position, followed by Delhi Public school at the second position and Army Public school at the third position. In Nukkad Natak Dewan Public School stood first followed by Dayawati Modi Academy at the second position and BDS International School at the third position. Dewan topped the tally and won the overall trophy but being the host ,the trophy was conferred to Meerut Public School for Girls.
The Director,Shri H.M.Rout appreciated the efforts of the Guidance and Counselling Cell and the students to come up with such topics. He also thanked all the judges for sparing their valuable time to grace the occasion.The Principal ,Mr AK Dubey talked about the beautiful depiction of the problem of anxiety and depression faced by the youth and the ways to overcome it.He also thanked the esteemed guests for being a part of this great event and all the mentor teachers along with the participants for making the fest a great success.
